About

Who are you?

My name is F.S. Comeau, I’m an aspiring author and this is my website. I use it to present several of the pieces and works I’ve written, mostly o n finance

Do you write everything that is on this website?

Yes, I’m the sole author behind everything on this website.

What do you hope to achieve with this website?

I just want people to enjoy my work. This is and will always remain my main objective.

With that in mind, I want to educate people about finance. There’s a lot of crap out there about I like to write to debunk some myths. For instance, mutual funds are garbage and you should never invest in them. Also, you most likely cannot outperform the index. Not without work, anyway. And even with work, most people fail.

What are some of your objectives?

Short-term, I wish to get to 1,000 followers on Twitter, to get 100 visits a day on this website and to publish over 100 different articles and stories.

Long-term, I hope for this website to be massively popular and to entertain people worldwide. It is my intention to be contacted by an agent/publisher through this website (and its following). I guess I can dream.

How much time per week do you spend writing?

Right now, in addition to trading, I spend around 20 to 30 hours a week depending on the projects I’m working on, my deadlines and so on. My average writing work week is around 20 hours, which is typically as follow:

Composition: 5 hours
Redacting: 5 hours
Proofreading / Correction : 1 hours (Yes, I know I should spend more time)
Formation : 2 hours
Management / Promotion: 5 hours

That doesn’t add up to 20 hours, but whatever.

Articles

Why are your works split into categories?

The categories correspond to the three major types of work I do.

Articles: Stories, analysis, rants and opinions meant to entertain, often heavily marked by sarcasm and humor.

Stories: The main part of my website. Short stories, novellas and multi-part stories related to a particular topic or subject. In simple words, stories.

Finance: Finance article.

What is your vision of writing?

Writing is meant to entertain. I want my readers to feel good when they read what I write. My main and pretty much sole objective when I write is to be sure that people who read me truly enjoy my work.

I feel privileged to be able to do what I want. I’ve worked very hard to get where I am today and I plan to continue working very hard to offer the best quality work possible to my fans and readers.

Why do you hate so many different things?

I don’t hate so many things. In fact, the list of things I really hate is quite short. When I say I hate something, for example, “Radio sucks,” it doesn’t mean I truly “despise” it, merely that it annoys me and that I dislike it. The “articles” section of my website is meant as a satirical/entertaining section. I’m not like that in real life, I think…
